I’ve seen one myself, and I think the best way is just shoot him with frost arrows till he dies. He does 200+ damage which isn’t blockable, but at least he’s pretty slow to swing his club.

And cutting down birch and oak trees require a bronze axe if you dont want to try your luck destroying the birches with other falling/rolling trees - or by even stranger methods.

Something seems to have changed recently. I get more model pop-in than I used to, and I haven't changed any settings.

I am on a low to mid end comp and don't have any problem making out what the land is on the horizon. Not sure what your deal is.

The portal building engram will appear when you get fine wood and/or Surtling Cores. Fine wood from birch trees while using a bronze axe and Surtling Cores from Burial Chambers in Black Forest biom

For the boat to appear you need to craft bronze nails. Portal appearing is also dependant on something similar.
