I agree, but there is an equal number of preposterous things that a player can do and benefit from:- parrying ranged attacks- lines/ropes cutting through impassable terrain like walls- enemies clippin..

it takes damage if it damages you. you can walk on an unlit one all day. People were using campfires and hearths and such to kill things in pits, so now all the damaging fires take damage in return.

Or roll the game back to a stable build. Right click, properties, beta, drop down menu to default old. play until updated.

Go and download and install newest version of bepinex, update mods, then wait for all the rest of the mods to get updated.

Try updating your mods if you have some installed.
