I think a lot of the issues with stamina come from the traversal mechanics, our avatars being unable to walk up a slight incline or over a small rock without an expensive Super Mario leap into the air..

I fully excavate silver veins before I mine them. The walls are (usually) steep enough that wolves and golems can't reach me.

Put down some work benches. It stops spawning. I have done it and it works.

Or simply use all that stone and raise the ground around your vein so high that not even drakes are a problem

it is worth it solo, was playing with 2 friends and then one of them called over 2 bosses and destroyed half of our bases, absolute monkey that kid

I will agree that the swamp is harder than the plains and mountains based on the Tech available to the player when they first go there. Having a high bow skill helped me the first time.

Well going back in with a silver sword is such a pleasure. Everything takes spirit damage :D

I wish the stagger mechanics were a little less binary in effect. As it stands you can spreadsheet all the enemies in order of how many HP you need for shields to function against them at all.

Yes, animals aren't able to harvest from plants. (Well, except Lox by accident sometimes with their AoE attack.)

The fur could be some kind of modified scales, similar to feathers.
