yeah, that seems to be a common problem. What fixed it for me was clicking the server button and adding a password. Maybe that'll help, maybe not.

If they didn't think they could alter the stats of the Yagluth thing later on they wouldn't have given it as a placeholder item in the first place.

Huh, I forgot about that. Me too. Hope I don't have to kill Yagluth again to get the item drop. But it won't surprise me if I have to.

It's fine sp, but a little more grindy since your just one person. Awesome game!

It is very well balanced for solo play. Been through multiple times, mostly solo.No boss fights require splitting aggro or anything like that... everything is easily soloable.

There have been multiple threads about this exact same thing within the past week or two. Try the search function.

You can also domesticate and farm wolves without making it a fight. Same for Lox which provide a good cape for mountain survival.

If you don't end up getting help with it, I can at least offer tips. You can take them on with upgraded troll or iron armor without getting one shot, so as long as you aren't trying to get wolf armor ..

They won't one-shot you if you're not trying to fight them in low-quality armour, and even troll armour is good enough if you use parry. Just never go at night.
