its not just a roof, a tall wall nearby will cause them to not produce.you should get 4 a day or so per hive. they need to be about 2 vikings tall away from any sort of wall or roof.

The hives cannot be enclosed. If the bees are not happy there's always (in my experience) a message like "The bees need more space." I like putting them on the roof of my house.

It may be the trees, they don't like things overhanging. Move them to an open area.

Try placing them where you grow crops but not to close to one another.

I agree. Specically too much damage falling from rooftop. I played games where part of increasing jump skill made you better able to survive drops. Honestly, falling is my number 1 cause of death late..

I guess the problem is running and jumping on downhill slopes? Both of those skills will increase your horizontal jumping range, leaving you further to fall at the end.

I'd be cool with jump skill going a bit Oblivion and becoming acrobatics with a slight reduction on fall damage for higher levels. So far one of my most common deaths come down to putzing around my ba..

Even with mods enabled I never had jumping higher than 60 and didn't have a problem. With that said I wish that leveling your jumping would also increase the minimum height before you take fall damage..
