I would guess you were probably getting bored with that play-through and are using the portals as an excuse to start over.In your new game try to use portals when you can and see if you feel the same ..

I have old budget PC, and Valheim runs perfectly super smooth.Only issue I have that my graphic card uses fan to cool itself during gameplay. In other games I dont have this issue.

Yeap them respawn close to silver veins and ruins

They generaly spawn close to destroyed houses, so you can make a portal close to that location, kill them and go down.Its like 1 every 3 days.
