Trap them in a pit is another strategy. The drakes and wolves will weaken them quite a bit over a few days. As a bonus you pick up what the golem has defeated.

Get an iron mace and use bonemass forsaken power to brawl them down. If you don't have that then it will be more difficult because they are very resistant to arrows and mountains are not a good place ..

Use the Bonemass special power and smack them with a mace or pick axe.Golems will attack everything nearby once woken up. Wyverns will wake them up sometimes by attacking them.

It's really hard to know if it's a mod causing it if multiple mods are going and the mods are unknown. Odds are, though, probably.

Yes but the world generates 500m (2x2 floors are 2m square) out from what you have already explored. I used the same mod mentioned above. It generated tar pits outside a base i made before H&H. Up..

Fires? You mean like bonfires, right?

building a moat wont stop them spawning but will stop them attacking your base.you could also lay some fires down around your perimeter which will ward them away.

The lox can swim quite far and you could ship it on the longboat. Will be easier if you have someone helping you by staying riding it so it doesn't randomly walk off the boat

I think it has to do with the the particles in the snowstorm. Their coding could be better.
