Yes they do drop. I tried cutting one oak tree down and got one seed. Same for birch.

Why would you say useless?I use it almost exclusively. You do need to upgrade it.

Bows feel fine, make sure to upgrade them and increasing your skill, bows are more focused on its skill now, with lower levels requiring more full draws or you will miss. Wooden arrows have been made ..

What are bucklers for? I thought they'd take the role you just decribed but they appear to just be lower stat roundshields with no special purpose.
