thanks for the help!I have tried vulcan, updated all drivers, and rebooted system. The intro is smooth but once it goes to the menu screen it begins flickering and a rapid clicking noise.

Tried runnin in vulkan? (also could be that the TAB key is "stuck" and keeps opening the inventory)That or your pc needs a restart and a kick. Post what you have tried to fix it.

I did a playthrough with just troll armour and knife - assassin style. Zero speed penalty. Almost zero stamina. So fun.

Black Metal Scrap (Dark Green/Black colour) from Fulings (and Fuling Village Chests) needs the Blast Furnace.Scrap Iron (Brown colour) from the Sunken Crypts (and sometimes Swamp Creatures drops) need..

Black Metal you get from Fulings is not Scrap Iron. Black Metal needs the blast furnace, Scrap Iron needs the smelter.

is what you have called BLACK iron? That needs a NEW type of smelter and is a DIFFERENT metal. The normal iron from crypts is "iron".

Yes, you get iron from smelting scrap. When using the smelter, coal goes to the right and scrap to the left.
