The simple answer is we don't know, devs haven't said anything on way or another.

I guess the concern of the OP is that with new meat types what will become of the generic raw meat.Will it become one of the types or just be nothing?

Achievements will make some people happy but they're never necessary. I don't care if they add them to Valheim or not but it's likely they will once the game's a bit closer to completion.
