Yeah, I was going to say that sounds like you should verify the integrity of the game files, but probably the reinstall should do it. I haven't had that issue at all, but it sounds like a Steam issue ..

it only takes height into consideration. No amount of walls will stop it. If its too low, water will appear no matter what

i wouldn't worry about it they wont make it impossible to sail as it is one of the main things they really want you to do. but they prlly will never make portals transport ore, you can always mod it y..

The empty biomes should populate with new content, but areas that have already been explored may not.

Well is an option if anyone wants , but not a need when all biomes are already in the game but empty, updates just will fill up these biomesThis isnt 7d2d where in any alpha u have to nuke your seeds

A new playthrough will likely have a new progression experience. I will definitely restart.

Have you tried posting in the Looking for Group sub-forum? If you make a thread you should be able to get a group that doesn't want to play solo either. It's best in this game to play with one set gro..

It’s a proper co-op. There just isn’t a matchmaking component

It's a PvE co-op game for the most part. Use the 'Looking for Group' sub-forum to find people to play with on a private server and you'll be fine.

It is slightly geared towards groups, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it solo. Enemies get +40% health for each player in the world, so the devs did put at least something in place to balance th..

The game is still fun / doable solo, but a bit harder. Definitely more fun in a group. My group kind of quit midway through, but I still managed to finish the game by myself in the end.

The game is totally playable solo

you can use mods to make public serversit's really bad idea tho, public servers = you invite griefers/cheaters

Just don't rush things. Move ahead at a steady pace and always prepare for reverses. It's a game that rewards meticulous play rather than recklessness.

If you like survival and realism/complexity are not the main draws to that genre for you, then I can't recommend this game enough. One of the best for sure.
