Turnip spawns are rare and easy to miss. I usually have to search a few swamps before I find them, I always do turnips before iron. Gives me a chance to start on a root set too.

I had the same issue with the onions in the mountains. I got every other resource in abundance yesterday foraying into the mountains, crafted, and then upgraded, all of my gear and not a single onion ..

Yes they continue to use fuel. It lasts a long time though, torches (other than the wood one) and sconces last over 33 hours with a full fuel load

You're right--it doesn't show for Wolf chest piece. That's odd and is probably something that should be corrected by the devs eventually.

You are probably mining a copper deposit that is quite close to the coast. The maximum depth gets less the closer you get to the water, so try to find some that are a bit further inland. Luckily there..
