I think it helps to always keep a bit of stamina while pulling away from the enemy in case you need to jump or something.

These are Valheim chickens dude, and they crow in Valheim. No one gives a damn about realism in a game where giant floating ballsacs spew fire at you and you can raise the dead to fight for you.
