Over 2k game days on my original seed, the world is huge, about a third explored maybe, no need to restart

It's really hard, be harder, good luck, you'll beat it.

Get on your boat and find a more favourable section of mistlands.Though if your world existed before the Mistlands update came in you may only have tiny islands which would dampen your experience.

If it's the water that is troubling you, it's only a matter of exploration efforts to find more inland-like regions of the biome.

The wisp lights radius doesn't keep up with any kind of movement. Now a bit of delay like this is OK and reasonable but its too little and the base range is too short. Up the radius of the wisplight 2..

If you're worried about availability of iron, there's more to be found in the Mistlands as well.

they nerfed the crypt spawn rate by a huge amount, later seeds will have their crypts spread out more.

Small biome footprints pre-dated Mistlands. You would find swamp strips, mountain bumps and even meadows patches in the middle of larger biomes.

Skills do matter yes, they are not NEEDED but maxed out they help a lot. When you die you lose 5% of EVERY skill you have obtained. So if you were at 100 you'd go down to 95 if you were at 50 you'd go..

Yeah, I edited my last post.. The odd spark does get through, but damage is minimal compared to not having the cage there. :)

The sparks can clip through walls and cages if there is not enough space around the refinery. I had the problem of sparks escaping until I built my enclosure a little bigger.

Build an Iron cage around the refineries... It doesn't look as bad and the Iron takes 0 damage. You can make it so they just fit into the cage and you can still feed sap and tissue into the machine &a..

I suspect The Queen will be buffed when all the ML crafting tables will be level 4. The developers may in fact back out the nerf updates (except for the carpets) at that point as well.

You can beat any boss without taking damage. Does that make armor pointless? No.
