I've experienced troll invasions, but they never get as far as actually reaching the base. Even an upgraded flint spear can tear through a staggered troll.

That's probably the 'The Ground Is Shaking'-event if there are two trolls. Other possibility is that you just have nasty neighbours.

Didn't cheese anything in the game, enemies and bosses are pretty manageable. Have beaten every boss including the queen solo.The only tip i can give is, don't run in the early game and you'll be fine..

Same issue. I am modded but I can't be bothered turning them off. You seem to need to be quite close for the sparkle to show up, which is kinda pointless.

Might want to check if you turned something off in video settings, effect might be tied to that.
