yeah the terrain was a really bad choice imo, and you're means of dealing with it is only craftable after you've basically already beaten the mistlands, making it rather pointless.

You can jump but you can't hide. You can drown however.

i would have no issues with this feature if losing aggro wasnt such a hassle, you literally have to walk a marathon or log out of the game to stop them from going after you

Sap requires 2 materials that can't be teleported so I think it's fine as it is + the sap resource can at times be limited and take extra time for acquiring more when the magical energy is to a level ..
