You definitely want "Portal Anything" mod as a Solo Player. This allows you to send anything through portals...even metals....which is huge and saves you tons of time as a Solo Player.

walled up with a portal to repair / heal /whatever & toe to toe. After an incident, I beat him with a club. Anything blunt will do well. If you have frost arrows, you should also have frost hammer..

An Iron mace and a poison resist potion. Literally killed it twice in 7 minutes.

Better than walling it up 6 stories high or make a tree stand and build 10 million frost arrows. This feels more natural.

if i remember correctly they also consider the ocean as a major biome so that is also an option for the next big update

ashlands and the far northern area are also there - i believe those will get some love too
