Baddies won't spawn in the area of effect of certain things workbenches for one. I don't have a complete list but the Wiki probably does.Edit...from what I understand they don't like fires either.

Short answer...no they won't stop spawning but there are methods to keep them at bay.You can plant any tree seed anywhere you want but it won't transform the biome type.

I never saw this as a big problem. I either transport my metals by boat, or I just built a (small) base there. It's part of the game. But then I don't mind the "chores" that Valheim give me...

Think it will be a mineral extractor, you put it at the top of a copper, silver source and it extract ores for you , just like in astroneer

Nothing was changed in the base game, but Valheim+ will do what you want. I am spoiled now because my kiln and smelter pull from nearby chests.
