Tru dat. There is absolutely NO protection from griefers and cheaters in this game. It was never designed for it. So you would really need to play with people you can absolutely trust.

If you're really desperate you can use the online world generator to check his spawns.

Scared the piss out of me the first time I saw him.. I was running from Goblins in the dark and I just saw his glowing eye.

My best base was on top of a Yagluth Altar where I managed to get two Lox up for a drop lox breeding farm. Ended up having like 20 lox wandering around for the subsequent Yagluth fights where the base..

I also built under The Elder's alter (and above it), but mine looks more like a dance hall, since I never built anything in it except the walls and floor. You can make quite a large space under there!..
