i think most people who play Valheim for the first time make a large base but soon realise that this means alot of running backwards and forwards form your base especially the more you explore the map..

Well, there's nothing in mistlands yet. Any map will have frost caves at 100 meters of higher mountains though.

There is no best seed. But any seed that hasn't been explored will have them. Mistlands isn't out yet, but frost caves will appear in any reasonably large mountain biome.
