just plan your base/outpost ahead. near copper and water is always a good choice so you can get upto that level of progression and venture out in your ship(s), that the way the devs intended the game...

Are you using mods? What version are you running? Is this on a server or local? What else have you tried?

You know why mods break everytime there is an update? Because they are not supported.Even with Steam Workshop mods would break after updates. It doesn’t magically update mods to make them compatible..

FYI, there are mods that allow you to build in all the instance aspects of the game (ie, caves, crypts, etc) if you really want to. It's kinda fun and cool.

I just updated my bepinex and got the game to work. Oh joy!!

Okay i found a Fix.. Remove the BepInEx Folder in SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ValheimOr update https://valheim.thunderstore.io/package/denikson/BepInExPack_Valheim/

Having the same issue. Can't play.

so verifying did not fix but,-I deleted the game install folder (steamapps/common/valheim)-reinstalled through steam (no mods)-and booted my world just fine~~~~~~~~~~~~~I haven't tried adding the mods..

There was an update today, ever use mods? They will need to be completely deleted or wait until they are updated.

it also seems like the water reflections are a lot buggier...
