Do you mean the Blast Furnace? The one that needs Surtling Cores? Because it needs to be MUCH hotter than the Kiln to make Black Metal ingots. They aren't "magical".. they just glow because,..

I use a coal stove for heat and it would be pretty magical if the ashes cleaned themselves out IMHO.

Its part of a procedural map generator, it doesn't garentee a good map just a unique one... I use the map generator on the internet to make me a good map... some maps dont even have all the bosses.
