People have been claiming the devs abandoned the game since the first month of release. In ANY game if you want to see development activity just check the updates on the store page.

The game as it stands is well worth the price. It's not "abandoned," but likely will not be finished anytime this decade. Despite the slow pace of development, you can still have lots of fun..

Played it on a 1060 6gb (new computer now) and everything was fine until building a huge village with lots of structure and lights, but that's a thing with stronger cards as well.

You'll probably get 60 fps most of the time, but large builds can tank performance.

Usually optimization is the last step, after you're sure that everything you are optimizing will be in the final application. So don't look for it until Valheim is feature-complete. Some optimizations..
