Yea make sure you're both online and not invisible, my friend and I had a hiccup once because he was set to invisible so I couldn't see the server.

If your friend is set to Offline, IIRC you can't join them via the "Join Game/Lobby" option.All I ever do is go by Join Game on my Steam friend's list.

You can use Campfires or Bonefires they all have the same area of effect for Player Base function. Both are not attacked by enemies and they not need to burn to deter enemy spawn.

Try surrounding the paddocks with bonfires, kept at a respectable level of course.

Can't harpoon him to drag into a pit any more...arrows don't get it done before the bow breaks and adds build up. Seems the devs want you to tank him. Silver works well on him just like all skellies.

He is also much MUCH easier in a group, as you can actually take turns drawing aggro, giving more opportunities to hit him without getting popped

Maybe version of the world changed during your absence ... If you not want to lose your equipment and if you exactly know, where you died, use the dev command. I suppose in this case it is eligible ....

hell no i didn't rage quit. the tombstone is missing.

It is possible to turn those markers off by clicking on the skull on the right side of the map. I had this problem after H&H. It was caused by the NoDeathPenalty mod.

no i just logged in and looked at the map

Did you ping the location? I pinged the boss location in my game today and the location marker disappeared after.
