Bronze nails are not used for workbench upgrades, if it's the Adze you are after which is 10 fine wood from Birch trees and 3 bronze bars then you don't get the next upgrade, tool shelf, till you have..

Adze is Fine wood, wood, and I cannot remember the other ingredients. should be under crafting. build that next to the workbench and it will upgrade.

Had 2 serpents spawn last night in the same place. Also if you drag them onto a biome other enemies attack them.

I mean, I found this as my first cave, but it's not really that big of a deal. by the time you can do Mountains, you already can afford a rod from the trader. Kind of underwhelming.

Update: I went on the Valheim discord - this method will not work. The only way to add the new content is to use mods. The "Upgrade World" on Nexus mods seems to have this capability.

Has anyone tested if using console commands to hide the map and then updating would make everything sufficiently "undiscovered?" Or is it tracking some other way?

Short answer. You can find new content in parts of the map you have not visited/still under fog.

Caves will generate on mountains that have NOT been explored. If you've filled out a good portion of your world it might be better to start fresh. If you think there are still a lot of larger mountain..
