I never bothered with birds. I have so many feathers from felling trees and looting chests, they come out of my ears. ;)

Thank you for the responses everyone. I think I have decide to go "Hearth and Home" mode and not try to take out the next boss yet. I still sometimes die to Trolls (as I found out yesterday ..

They stay still more often in the rain.

Trees are a good source of feathers. Later when you have your own tree farm you will have plenty.

Yes. Shoot them on the ground with either arrows or spear. There's also crows in black forest.

Wait until Elden Ring gets some patches behind it. I have both but Elden Ring has problems with bad 21:9 monitor support (which Valheim handles effortlessly)

Valheim definitely for me. Elden Ring brings nothing I am looking for in a game.

I think it is the upcoming update, currently in public test. As far as I know there isn't a pause button, it just pauses when you call up the esc menu.
