Did you ragequit and alt+F4 or something a few months ago?

It is possible to turn those markers off by clicking on the skull on the right side of the map. I had this problem after H&H. It was caused by the NoDeathPenalty mod.

If you're doing trolls easily, Eikthyr should be a doddle.

Do you mean Eikthyr? You can take him down with leather armor, a flint ax and wooden shield. You're gonna be bored fighting him in troll armor.

You hit "esc" button and it pauses the game on the PTR. Currently there is none in live version. New pause button works well.

I think it is the upcoming update, currently in public test. As far as I know there isn't a pause button, it just pauses when you call up the esc menu.

That's on the Public Test branch my guy. Gotta wait for it to get pushed to stable or play that branch.
