That's a great idea, but one of the many issues that you're going to have to work around is that you're going to want a model with detailed 3d textures for 3D printing, but most of the texture in game..

Yeah best way is to find an area where you have a bunch of roots clustered together and then plant 1 extractor on each. Block it off with walls made with your hoe and then put some work benches around..
