I've been to maybe 6-7 now in my game and haven't found a single silver to mine...really sucks....I've been playing 350+ hours with no problem finding silver. except now...did they nerf the silver??

Depends if those mountains are "big enough". Some islands have a relatively tiny mountain areas so you'll have better luck by exploring other mountain areas on other islands.And this might s..

I've done it recently with silver veins, if it doesn't all collapse as soon as you totally undermine it, hop on top and give it a hit with your pickaxe, and pray your GPU doesn't overload

I'm probably going to explain it poorly, but essentially when the node is suspended but hasn't "exploded", there's likely still some "invisible tethers" anchoring it to the ground...

It is just luck. Though I find if I hit the end of a silver node it has a 50/50 chance. Just be sure it’s not touching the ground anywhere.
