2 hours aint so bad, at least you didn't lose your whole world like some ppl have.

character is saved when you logout/quitwhich means that if you crash it without saving... then unsaved stuff is lostcurrently only world has auto-save (every 20min)

You can spawn it back in in single player its early access expect errors like these.

You can use the Valheim World Generator website to preview random seeds and pick one you like. You can hide any information beforehand to avoid boss locations etc

The worldgen isn't that flexible right now, it's effectively stamping out the coastlines and mountains from a relatively small mathematical area then randomising the other biomes across the flat bits...

I was under the impression they updated the game so modifying the terrain doesn't affect FPS, its more the amount of instances running in the area.

As I understand it those commands only reveal the map, they don't actually generate the local terrain until you actually go to those areas. so unless you have been sailing all over the map you might b..

you can build some nice little buildings with workbench inside roofs to avoid the eyesore, i often do this when building docks you can make it 3 wide with either roof angle and make it look nice aswel..

Took me 9 swamps to find the first crypt. And maybe 15 swamps to locate Bonemass
