Moder hidden environmental affect

So tried taking moder down and I have found an affect that she has on the environment that I didn't know and is not listed in the wiki. Wiki states she forces freezing effect anywhere she is and stops or prevents storms from happening. Just like all other bosses it usually gets a bit darker but theres another affect that slapped me in the face.

If you can correctly guess the hidden environment effect I will give the "take my points" award. I'll give it a few days and then I'll disclose it if no one guesses it

I think fires used to stay lit but maybe around the caves update ? maybe earlier they would go out even for elkthyr. Might be a bug?

Don't all the bosses do this? If you put a fire on Eikthyr's alter it goes out while you are fighting him.

Makes sense from a gameplay perspective, as the fire regen bonus is pretty strong.

I never actually thought about this. You're right, I probably have to give this a try.

Last I checked fire works during eikthyr and elder as both stop rain, bonemass summons rain, so as long as theres a roof all good, yagluth stops it from raining aswell. No one else summons strong winds, just moder at the moment. I'll double check that but I do remember throwing fires down to help damage eikthyr

That's it, she brings a strong wind with her that puts out fires. Wiki needs an update

Wow... I guess I have to fight Moder again to figure out what that is. Nah, finding a Youtube video is not sportsmanslike. ;)

Nope, to be fair I don't think anyone will know this happens, the only reason I found this out was because I was doing a challenge run

Ah, Babs in deer leather and with only meadows food... Hm, no freezing effect? Which would go counter to that Moder actually freezes everything. So, probably not.

Edit: So, I tried it with deer leather armor and a fire on top of her altar. The first thing I noticed was, that the fire went out. So, no protection from freezing.

The next thing I noticed was, that I was already dead. :D

Edit2: So, I donned my Fenris armor, in order to not freeze to death (deer, boar and honey) and managed to stay alive long enough that she landed and I could get under her and start hitting her with my lvl 4 flint axe.

I was actually surprised that I was doing not insignificant damage to her!

She hit me once, and I still was alive, so I continued pestering her. Unfortunately she started turning around and somehow hit me again, with what I don't know.

Dead again.

And no, couldn't find out what else she was affecting, besides the fire in the beginning. :P

Edit3: Nope, can't do it. I can barely pick myself up to immediately getting hit again by an ice barrage. I'm getting too old for this. I'll stick with what I actually CAN survive, thank you. :D

Edit4: Soooo... I couldn't give up that easily. So I've donned my plains armor, wolf cloak, but still on a steady diet of deer, boar and honey. Around 97 health initially.

Finewood bow lvl 4, wood arrows, initially fire arrows and flint arrows. I think the fire arrows are best, but I don't have any right now. So wood arrows it is.

Still dying, but I'm trying... :P (I had actually switched back to Fenris for the speed bonus...)

And no, besides the fire being suffocated I haven't found any other effect.
