Graves and Treasure?

I was reading a couple guides the other day and came across an article stating there is buried treasure in viking graves. It mentioned something along the lines of the stones that form circles in meadows being treasure/grave sites. Anybody had any luck with that? If so is there a general amount of digging you have to do or is it random?

I find that, early in the game when you NEED treasure, excavating burial ships takes more time and effort than it's worth; and, later in the game it (treasure) isn't worth anything at all. I generally ignore them.

there are also sunken ships on the shore with loot.

as for holes, fill them back in is a thing. You can go all in if its at your home, or just casually patch it a bit if its a path you will use again, enough so its no risk, or put up a wall works too. You can even just put floor tiles over it.

if its a MP server, you can put deeskin rug over it to troll your friends.

doing it without is risky. You will find a standard (first one you can make) chest when you dig. Its usually not much deeper than you can stand in and not be underground (below the surface I mean)
Good to know thanks for the info. I just like to have a general idea of what to expect. Even if I only ever dig for treasure once or twice.

Now that you mention that about the shape, I believe I did find one. Thank you.

You'll make big holes every where and put yourself in danger at night falling into. I stopped digging after my 10th necklace and bones.

lol, I just did one and realized I should build the cheapo rail fence around the hole to avoid future accidents. My working life safety training keeps coming in handy........

It's not really worth the effort in my opinion, a lot of work for the same random junk you can find in any other chest. It's a cool idea though, I'd love to see it expanded some time in the future.

i suppose that's a relatively DEEP feature, hopefully you'll do a good job of sorting through all That treasure, Then, or you're going to need an NPC MOD to do It for You, or perhaps a villager, or queen
