No man...And i saw a lot of people have same probmel too
After last Update...

I was playing alone last time and i just logged out normaly and everything...When i entered today everything was gone...

This is what makes me hate early acces games.And makes me never support them.

Turn off Steam Cloud and backup your character/world saves manually and you'll never have this problem again.

The game is in Early Access, which means it's still in beta.
It's not the first game where savefiles can get corrupt or overwritten by older cloud-saves.
It even happens in released AAA-titles (like skyrim for example).

Sorry to hear that happened to you buddy. I feel your pain. Looks like the world eating bug is rare but soul crushing if it happens.

All these people acting like smartasses, until it happens to them. This is a type of game that takes a lot of creative investment, exploring map, building and terraforming etc that can't be simply recovered with cheats like equipment of stats.

Looks like all we can do now is backup our saves. Hopefully fixing this issue is on the top list of priority for the devs right now.

After last Update...

many people had the problem that their rented server was poorly configured~~

if you have dedicated server on the same PC as your game with steam cloud
then you either disable steam cloud or change save location for dedicated server

if you don't then synchronization fails and you may delete your own progress
^ which in short means that players screwed up something
not game, not devs, it's player who screwed it up ;D


if it happened singleplayer then it's something new, and actual bug with game
then any details are useful~~ log etc

Because it does happen sometimes.

I have 5 games I backup regularly because there has been a time when a Update/Patch b0rks the game.
Taking the time to backup has saved my *ss and kept me from making rage posts like the OP
Its not hard to go to your C:Users/"username"/AppData/LocalLow/IronGate/Valheim and backup the "worlds" and "characters" files. Just in case

below left corner of the main menu , have all the files to backup , more easier to do , pleasure !
