are we to expect a mid range plains armor?

Just a random thought.

At the moment, every working biome except for the meadows and plains has two types of armor: one that brute forces it by giving tons of mitigation (bronze, iron, silver), and another that is less resistant but offers interesting bonuses (troll, root and fenris).

Now, since i doubt they’ll bother adding an extra set for the starter area and the padded armor is clearly the brute force type, you think we can expect one such “special” armor for the plains as well? Have the devs ever said anything about the plains being “done”?

Well, I know of this one now...
Gleipnir was said to be as thin as a silken ribbon but stronger than any iron chain. It was said to be fashioned from six impossible things: the sound of a cat’s footfall, the beard of a woman, the roots of a mountain, the sinews of a bear, the breath of a fish and the spittle of a bird. As the chain was made from things that could not exist, it could never be broken.

bone steel comes to mind... it was supposed to give you an edge over specific monsters. So say you hate the Lox.. You want big axes for big Lox... you want iron axes smelted with Lox bone and quenched in Lox blood.

Pretty sure bears have sinews... birds don't have saliva?

Maybe that gleipnir needs to be forged on a flat earth.... well we got that covered anyway!

Nothing is 'done' yet, I mean the root and cave Fenring armour are a decent sign they will still work on older biomes but no promises, for all we know there will be a mist armour that changes the meta again.

I was about to say that the plains biome could use a mini-boss like monster, but the lox exists and I'm not sure what else they could add. The plains has a pretty big variety of baddies to fight as it is. Maybe they'll add a lox hide suit?

Lox Alpha perhaps? Grey of fur, and much larger.

I was too thinking of a barbarian type of armor, made from hide, bone and dark metal. Perhaps it could give a speed bonus to two-handed weapons.

I’m curious as to what they’ll come up with for mat gathering. I expect far more than picking up spider bits XD

There are special ores, not available to mortals that the god smiths use... I just cant recall the name of that stuff, so I just named some more common mythical stuff :P

Ye... I could have mentioned copper being brass as well but that wasn't as confusing as wolf being fenris when there is an actual wolf armor as heavy silver.

Still, if you read my post and know the game its kind of very hard to get confused :/
Also it’s bronze, not brass.

Yes it is. But posts like this become Google fodder for people to get information from... so people reading this may not know the game to that extent. No harm in being clear about things.

Have a great day, do carry on. Just being an advocate for clarity.
