Haha, I start each and every session with grand ambitions, clear a swamp, build a castle or set roads between settlements. And then I just run around in circles, increasingly bigger circles tho, around wherever I spawned and collect everything that can be collected and organize it into chests.

1470 hours clocked here, and 1500 will be reached early next month.

Exploration is the main thing for me, and easily forms well over 50% of my gameplay.

I've also spent loads of time in multiplayer mode with a friend or two, which is the most fun the game has to offer, for me; as awesome as it is solo, some things just are not possible alone.

I also spend a lot of time organising chests' contents.

How many miles of road? How many bridges? How many forts?

i have 1690 hours in this game i go around and gather what i need to make food ,cloths , better armor and what ever else i need ,

and i do not use mods, besides i do not know how to get them

The word 'did' implies that I'm done, I'm not. Currently at 2506 hours and doing a Limited Lives (permadeath-lite) run.

I do some building, maybe a quarter of my time at most. A wee bit of testing out different ideas on a 'creative mode' character I keep around in his own world, say maybe 5% at best.

I don't tame so as much as 50% of the remainder is hunter/gather roaming. The rest is split between scouting, exploiting, and conquering in more or less even amounts I suspect.

All but the first few hundred hours have been spent in some challenge or other. I don't use mods - nothing against them just vanilla works for me and I don't like the idea of having to wait after updates for some modder to fix their code.

I’d say:
30% building
20% exploring (incl. new seeds)
20% grinding
20% fighting (bosses/fuling camps)
10% managing storage and making food XD
