destroy items
I'm accumulating a lot of old equipment that I will never use (because I unlocked better tiers) for now I leave it in crates but cantyou destroy / recycle objects? what do you do with old stuff?

Throw it on the ground outside the range of a workbench, it will despawn after time. There's no recycle. I keep most old things myself, you never know.
