There is no story so how can you play a role in it?

It´s not an rpg, it´s just a hack and slash survival game with bosses. I don´t understand what the point of "real rpg" stats would be.

It's not even an RPG.

It comes up in searches under RPG, with RPG, as an Survival RPG, as a FPRPG...., and has RPGesque Mods.....

It's not an RPG though. Lots of games are tagged RPG because of how search algorithms work, the more tags you put on. the more your product shows up so everyone just puts every tag on that they don't want to explicitly exclude (For example Sexual content) in order to boost its visibility.

We will have to agree to disagree, as what is an RPG can be very simple as are most small end ones.

You have that right. I don't consider Witcher 3 an RPG either, but I would argue Valheim is certainly more RPG than that game.

It's "Proper" Genre classification is Open World Survival insofar as it would be useful to a potential customer.
