I wish they added Ambient sound volume.
I'd like it because I enjoy watching stuff on youtube while playing survival games like this. And well some wound effects such as wind are loud, realistically so as well wind is loud, but ye with survival games I enjoy doing that good ol' multitasking, plus more options cannot hurt.

The game already has mixers for, Ambient, Music, Effects, GUI, Master, SFX and Menus (plus a few others) all adjustable, all the devs have to do is expose them to the settings UI, if they are not there already.
Bruh, can you do it via a mod?
I was going to say its very not messy if you just dont have that stuff sorted and would be harder to locate things if you needed to. But no it isnt in here already, you just got the generic 3
Volume (Masters)
Effects
music

i'm not sure they believe it needs it, I have argued they need an equalization pass, but it's disregarded. As well as dismissed by some, I don't really see how people can't tell the difference.
There was someone who did some investigating with decibel meter, and their findings were that they appeared to be the same. It's a nuanced thing certainly. And that in fact the deer was the loudest.

Idrc about how loud something is as long as there is more audio settings. I bet you tons of people play this game solo while watching a podcast or something. Due to there being no constant story, there is one obviously, but most of the game you dont have to be super focused for.
im not even sure it would take too much work to make an ambient sound thing. I think a lot of it is dragging files of sound effects into a folder or folders. And then some coding. But I dont know how they made their game nor am I an expert. Ive just dont a little TINY amount of dev type stuff. generally I always stuck with Level Design as a hobby. But I dont think its too hard unless the way they developed the game just made it hard for them.
The people dismissing it likely are the people who just play the game with nothing on in the background. Also I think some sounds can sound louder than what they actually are. Like wind is more of a constant effect so it sounds louder than an axe hit or something. Like your brain is playing tricks on you. Deer sound as loud as wind to me, and wind sounds pretty loud but I dont think its louder than really most of the effects, Its just always going on.
