Crafting

I have not had a problem yet but why is it items only show up in say forge workbench if materials are on you, you never know what you can build until you take new resource to tables

which? Are you saying you would do all this heavy work in the hot sun or rain, including using the add on tools (some of which are iron) in the rain?
the forge might be ok, but a little rain & sun protection would still be desirable.

this. ones with stars have a higher chance of drops as well. The knifes alt attack that performs a leap is excellent for downing deer until you get a bow.

Yar, scrap leather was hard to come by at the very start. Lure two boars into a pen and keep them fed with berries. They'll breed and you can farm them for easy leather scraps.

yeah. you can tame this way. just be close enough the area is loaded but no so close the boars are freaking out, and eventually they will tame. its a good way to lvl sneak as you can just lurk around them while you wait.

I thought everything you could build with the materials you've currently found appear in the list, but you do have to go into (hover over?) each item to find out what that particular thing actually requires. It does mean you have a list that includes things you have far too little iron for, for instance ... but that also means you know what you have to do to get create these items.

If I have an annoyance with this system, it's that I have to remember which things are built at the workbench and which at the forge. It's not always obvious. But that's my memory's fault rather than the game's!

if you have discovered all necessary parts for a crafting recipe then it will show at the craft table listing required materials and amounts. If you don't have the necessary materials on you to make it then it will show greyed and not craftable.

If you haven't discovered all materials needed for a recipe than the recipe will not show, for example the wolf cape won't show until you find a wolf trophy for the first time even if you have found all other materials for making it and vice versa
