Dangerous biomes incursions (playing solo)

Hi. In this game, before heading to the next biome, I always wait to be fully upgraded and buffed up.
But for my next run, I think I will try to make forays in every biomes, even completetly under geared.
My objective is to quicly grab some advanced materials before fleeing, to unlock receipes and get nice items.
But it might be dangerous, playing solo.
What's your strategy on this ?

Okay, thanks. I'll try that.
In my previous run, I was just begining to explore the plains. That was funny!
I just set foot and 2 deathquitos jumped me. Not dead, yeaha. Then fuling. Again, I despatched it. Hey, Am I invicible ? Oh yeah. So hey, what's that ? One star fuling ? Come get some, you little ... <klonk>. Me: Dead.

the best solo class I have seen is troll leather pants and armour with the best metal helmet you can make for max speed, combined with the spear and buckler. you can pretty much kill anything just running around and randomly hitting it with a spear, especially frost golems and lox. you just need to always have stamina potions at all times for when you really need a boost, other potions are not as needed. With this build the goal is taking the least hits possible in fights.

if you are up against an unbeatable enemy just pop the bonemass ability and you basically cannot be hurt even in the troll leather armour.

My advice is beware tar pits... I've been surviving without too much difficulty using a bow and root armour gathered with a bronze buckler and bronze axe and running sneaky excursions for materials into the plains.

Strongest enemy in the game is the tar mobs in my opinion, that spray is lethal :D

Regarding iron, buried scrap piles sometimes poke up visibly through the ground where the slope is steep, such as on the border of swamp and mountain. You only need to find one of these to get stone working up and running. Prioritise larger swamps. the narrow strips tend to concentrate more horrible spawn into a smaller area.

Thanks for your input. I'll try a new run and see what happens if I set foot in high biomes with begginers gear (just to quickly grab goodies). If I'm not to chicken ♥♥♥♥ to try, lol.

As soon as I get bronze (for a cultivator) I do repeated sprints up the mountain looking for onions in chests, also forays around the edges of the swamp for turnips. Better food effectively ups your level against mobs.

Haven't done that my self so just guessing here however having the best food you can get, 1 focused on health to survive the odd hit and two for the stamina, well for more running. Having the ability from the first boss also gives you higher chance of success.

This is in no way a guide to do it, it is just guessing and anything beyond the Elder boss i have no knowledge off - best of luck
