It wasn't clear from the OP if he meant grey dwarves or Dverger. Since experienced players would have an idea I assumed he was completey new and was talking about grey dwarves since that's the majority of the dwarf questions on the forums and also the reason I specifically mention grey dwarves in my reply.

The Dvergr are neutral unless/until you hit them, their friends, or their structures. The link I gave you was for "aggressive" creatures, so they're not on it. Sorry.

Just about any weapon will work. Though before I get bronze, I just use a flint ax because they always show up when I'm chopping trees anyway. They almost always go down in three hits, with the third hit doing double damage. The important thing is to make sure they're not all hitting you at the same time. Run a little bit to spread them out so you can take out one or two at a time instead of four or five.

If you're going to be in the area for awhile, dig a hole and use your shield to pop them in it. That will take care of the daytime spawns. And if you have to ask the question above, you shouldn't be in the black forest at night.

If you mean the no-star greydwarves that randomly spawn in packs of three in black forest, if you learn to parry them, they can't kill you with any weapon. If you mean the brute and shaman who spawn at night, pop them both with fire arrows from range, bait the shaman breath attack and go in for a power attack from the side, and for the brute parry-and-poke
