Age of my game

Can anyone tell me how to find out when a world was started ? I can't seem to find it in the log-in screen in Valheim itself and the files in the local folder do not show when the world was created, just when the backup was last created.

I started a new map just around the Mistland update, but given the changes I need to know if it was before or after to make sure I don't suddenly end up with wrong map-info

I don't think that's possible

What do you meant by that?
I'm still playing on a world created almost 2 years ago and still enjoy all (map) updates since then tanks to the awesome "Upgrade World" mod -> https://github.com/JereKuusela/valheim-upgrade_world/blob/main/README.md

Am also on a map since launch. Not certain if or how one can pull a date of when it was created. That info may not be retained.

If I ever lost the ability to play this map it would likely sunset Valheim for me. There is no way I can replicate what I've built, the "lived in" feeling is not something easily rebuilt. That being said I've yet to encounter any reason to move worlds, at a minimum I raid "resource", worlds for iron and such.

Go to your save file location in explorer.
%appdata%\..\locallow\IronGate\Valheim\Worlds
Right click on the save file in question.
Select Properties.
One of the pieces of information is the Created: entry. It has the exact date and time it was created. This is when you made that save.

Nope. If Valheim were to only ever EDIT the world save game files instead of writing new ones and renaming the old ones to "*.old" you'd be right but I'm reasonably sure Valheim works like that...
At least none of my worlds has the real original creation date.

I use Valheim maps to look at the fog-of-war areas to plan my next moves. His map does not mirror the changes to biomes that have not yet been explored after the Mistlands update.

I started a new map just around the update, but am not sure if it was before or after the update and would prefer not to continue with that map if I later end up having trouble finding the things I need

Thank you for the advice, but as L1m3r says it only works in some instances, and my files do not help :/
