Quick Logoff Button
Singleplayer mode with 'multiplayer rules' in a game will always, with all due respect, suck.
I often logoff before getting mauled by enemies (and you kind developers disabled ALT-F4 so no quick quit) and i can´t find a shortcut to logoff immediatly - also, THERE SHOULDN`T BE A LOGOFF IN A SINGLE PLAYER GAME, YOU BUNCH OFF... i mean, singleplayer moe would need to have a few more distinct differences from the multiplayer one, so the experience would be more enjoyable and less murder-rage inducing.
Still, as changing the game design style (save slots, no items drop on death, a REAL game over screen) would probably be TOO MUCH to ask for, i´d like to kindly ask you considerate and hard-working devs to add a quick logoff button (and NO, a windows popping up asking if we REALLY want to log off shouldn´t show up in this case) so single players like me can get the hell out of a situation without dying and losing all his items to a combo of overleveled and badly designed enemies out of nowhere.
I understand that you all have priorities on the development of this game and helping single players to overcome multiplayer rules annoyances might be far from being one, but i´d like to drop this tip in case you gentleman find the time and discover it isn´t difficult to implement.

typical GTA EWO rage, dude, if facing a challenge induces murder-rage for you, you should be playing tetris.

Defeated Bonemass and Moder the Dragon, so yes, i know how the game plays out. Okay not to add insult to injury but you do realilse that the world gets saved as you logout so as soon as you log in the situation will be exactly as you left it? Including the mobs attacking etc?
All it takes is a simple backup of the save game to duplicate items, restore player state, etc.
The tag "PERSISTENT WORLD SAVE" would be one this kind of title needs, because in the future i´ll avoid them like the plague.

So you're introducing a problem onto yourself by tackling enemies you're completely unprepared for, and instead of realizing that maybe you're doing something wrong, it's the game's fault and the devs should do something about it? I can get behind this logic, the devs should make Bonemass completely weak to pierce since I only want to kill him with a bow and adapting to a situation and learning how a game works is beyond me.
Like, what does this game being singleplayer and mutiplayer even have to do with your weird complaint about a problem you're causing to yourself and nobody else really is asking for? It's not like other singleplayer games have some kind of one button shortcut to completely shut off a game, you still have to bring up the esc/tab menu and hit quit on almost every game out there.
So in other words, like others have said, git gud. The solution to not being able to deal with mobs isn't to be more efficient in turning the game off, who even does that? I could understand someone doing that out of panic, but to do it consistently enough that you need to start a topic about making this more convenient despite the fact it wasn't exactly a feature people were pushing to begin with?

I have not a single idea what are you blabbering about. I've just joined a game, entered my map, pressed Alt+F4 and the game has closed right away. Are you sure your keyboard is not just busted? and you kind developers disabled ALT-F4 so no quick quit
The logoff button is there because of technical side. (almost) EVERY singleplayer game is creating a server the player is just being connected to. That is how Quake, Doom, Half-life, Half-life 2, Minecraft and many, many other games work. THERE SHOULDN`T BE A LOGOFF IN A SINGLE PLAYER GAME, YOU BUNCH OFF... i mean, singleplayer moe would need to have a few more distinct differences from the multiplayer one, so the experience would be more enjoyable and less murder-rage inducing.

You little kids are mixing difficulty and playability. X3-Terran conflict is my favorite game, hard as nails, so is Subnautica and many others. This game is a case of lazy development, where they try to cash in singleplayer market by fitting a sloppy LAN SERVER mode to add the 'singleplayer' tag on steam - many such games have this flaw, like Conan Exiles, 7 Days to die, Outward, etc. Few did it right, like Terraria, No Man´s Sky and Planet Explorers.

Madcuzbad. Let's not let your autism muddy the game. Git gud scrub. Also if you had more than a double digit IQ, you'd know there are hot key scripts that kill the current process. Pro tip: maybe you should play in your designated biome before getting rekt? All i see is you exhibiting dunning kruger syndrome rn lmfao. Check your own idiocy before calling other people "little kids".

So basically you are asking the devs to make it easier for you to cheese your way through the game and not actually have to put in the slightest effort. If you are even remotely prepared for venturing out of your base and don't stupidly go wandering into biomes you shouldn't be in: the game is so easy you have to basically purposely get yourself killed.
Why not just enable god mode if you want it that easy?

There are mods for what you are looking for. Beware though there is a world eating bug that the devs say the best way right now to avoid it is to hit esc and choose quit.
