Never had this before. Was in the Black Forest very close to the shoreline. It was a bright sunny day and the sea was calm as I fought off a group of Greydwarfs with my back to the water. I had just put an arrow into a 1-star Greydwarf and was taken aback by the loud shriek that came out of it. It was only as I swung around to fight the remainder in close combat that I saw my first Serpent - right behind me at the waters edge - and heard it shriek again as it's huge mouth opened just a few yards in front of me. Close enough to to swallow me whole, lol. I was gobsmacked. I put a bronze head arrow into it immediately after killing the last Greydwarf and that made it swim offshore a bit... before coming right back in at me again. I got a few more full-pull arrows into it as it came at me, and it died just short of the shoreline. So, got my first Serpent meat without a boat and without even getting my feet wet :) Has this always been possible (I've only killed the first boss)? Or is that kind of stuff a part of the recent update?

That is pretty great. I hope this isn't a bug but a new feature... that is awesome and finally a decent chance for solo players to get serpent trophies.

I've lost my wishBone at the end of the world.
I wish there were a way to retrieve my stuff.
Maybe corpses that fell from the end of the world could be teleported at the center of the map?

You can just fight bonemass again.

Other than that you can use the console to spawn a new one I believe.

It's a random static spawn in a derelict village. There's only a few, or just 1 per map. Lucky you, if you find it.

They added it in this morning as an object you can build.
Check the news tab at top, it is only temporary so build them while you can.

You may need to restart steam to see the news. Game should update when you next launch it.

Need to go look myself and start building them. Wonder what materials it will need?

There was a small patch today that for a short while allows you to build one. That I think is what the OP is referring to.

I was just in the game after patching and couldn't see it either. Going to log into my most advance toon and see if he has it.

I just took out my hammer and I got a notif saying I learned Maypole. 4 Dandelions 4 Thistle 10 Wood

Ready your cultivator then it will be buildable via your hammer. Either that or it just became buildable after being in game for a few minutes.

Yep I think it takes a few minutes. My toon looked and looked and didn't have it then just before I decided to log him out I looked again and there it was in furniture.

Ya, found it eventually; I had to 'loot' something or take it into Inv to get the new 'recipe'...thanks all! Merely equipping the Hammer did not trigger the recipe for this PC player w/controller. I seemed to need to intake a resource, ANY RESOURCE, into Inventory...

Radius seems extremely 'small' in AOE?? I get like 2/3 floor tiles away from the item and the comfort level drops immediately by 1. Still nice to get it to 18 now at least in larger bases or inside by a bed?? lol

It popped up when I picked up some dandelions from a chest.

Mine popped when I got up from bed. Thought it was a glitch. Had no idea the game even updated. Cool though. Gonna have to build one.

They increase the comfort level.
Max is 18 with maypole.

I think that equates to a 25 min rested bonus

I have only found two in 12 or so seeds. Only put a base around one of them. Nice we can craft them now but it's only temporary so I need to get a bunch in the different worlds I have before they disable it again.
