Valheim definitely for me. Elden Ring brings nothing I am looking for in a game.

Get Valheim now and wait to see if Elden Ring improves as it matures. Also see if it goes on sale. They might slash a whole Valheim off of the price at some point.

Green Man Gaming has had it on 16% discount for days. With my existing-customer bonus discount, pre-release was 26% off for me if I'd wanted it.

Wait until Elden Ring gets some patches behind it. I have both but Elden Ring has problems with bad 21:9 monitor support (which Valheim handles effortlessly)

Given the awful mess that Elden Ring apparently currently is, and that I've only played one of the two...I'd say Valheim. :D

Elden Ring is the NEW New World dumpster fire. Ill sit back and get the pop corn ready.

Also they say it has 20 10 out of 10's. LOL but on steam the game is already at 60% and dropping on reviews.

Valheim is like 3x cheaper, but will give you wayy more for this price relative to Elden Ring, and I say it as a Soulsborne fan.

I just got done reading a few reviews and wow am i shocked. First of all the aggregate score so far is 'mixed' which says ALOT. If anything, i would've thought 'mostly positive' and chalked that low rating up to haters but all the negatives say the same thing: It isn't optimized well for any PC build.

Crucial framerate drops, freezing, and crashes within 2 hours are a couple that i've read that seem to be unanimous. Even though i probably wouldn't get it, i loved the absolute hell out of the Souls series and really do hate seeing this happen.

Valheim, on the other hand, is still an alpha build and it is totally stable, doesn't have big spec reqs, and is an open world sandbox building type. Take this information and make whatever decision you see fit.

Keep in mind though, Elden Ring could very well receive the proper patches it needs in the future.

Elden Ring looks like it is going the way of BF2042.

Valheim in an instant! Picked this game up when it was first released, over 100 hours on it and it still doesn't get old. They are constantly adding new content and tweaking things. New area and features will be released very soon. Elden Ring looks good, however it hasn't proven itself yet. Let it mature then pick it up, but get Valheim now and have fun!

Actually, it's gone up from 61% to 63% in the past 7 hours.
