your feet have to actually get purchase on something, a sand bar, a rocks edge, etc to regen stamina.

spam hp food and hp potions.

really, we can barely cross a river. even a unhealthy person can do that irl, not factoring streams.

my endurance comes from my built up strength. not from the food i eat. surely everyone drown after swimming 3 meter because ther on empty stomach. ridiculous.

As someone said before, the devs didn't intend you to swim everywhere. They made the raft and boats for that. Personally I like the fact that they made it harder. Some of you show your age with the rants on how hard things are in games these days, and I don't mean that as an insult. Back in the day you'd have 20 other things to worry about, constantly get one shot by simple mobs and bosses would take you literally 10+ trys to beat. Devs have gone too soft on people anymore, and that's why I love how they made this game slightly more hardcore than most others. I use that term loosely too, as it's really not that hard imo. The one thing I do agree with is that they shouldn't make the loot sink to the bottom of the bed to where you can't retrieve it.

How about you go tread water while wearing a full set of armor and tell me how that goes? Treading water takes energy in game and in real life. Seems they made swimming pretty spot on.

Do you know what helps there, a water tight bag you put your stuff in. Its like a boat but just a bag.

Besides that its a game, not a Dokumentation or a Realitic History Roleplay game.

The game is outstandingly great, (your the issue). Maybe play another game if your that stressed out over swimming, LOL.

Not game breaking, just overly stringent and not particularly useful. Lacking any utility with lack of diving or being able to use your weapon. I do think swimming needs to be overhauled so there's actually an incentive to swim at all outside of, well lowering the land in a stream for Karves, lol.

Not being able to dive 12” is silly. But
1, there is a all things float mod
2. If you jump off a raft you might sink low enough to recover items

Try building a raft or a boat instead of trying to swim large bodies of water

The game IS still a work in progress, no matter how much you dislike hearing that. Who knows, maybe diving will be added later on.

Don't kill stuff when it's in deeper water and you won't lose loot.

As for swimming, all you need to do is to approximate how far you can go while still being able to get back/reach solid ground.

There is exactly nothing game-breaking about the mechanics. You just need to be smarter about how you play.
