As Maroliver pointed out... he/she has the ability to give the game a thumbs up or thumbs down rating. Obviously they think highly of their opinion to start a whole thread on it.

I love this game. People that hate it rush through it and don't have any patience. Or not enough to not struggle mightily. Someone mention how skill drain made it so they couldn't get higher than 30 something points in any weapon. It actually works well in that if your club is at 43 and your polearm is at o cause you haven't used it yet. In about 16 hours of game time your polearm skill can be as high as 24 already. Cause low skills level much faster, then as they get higher takes more exp to get more levels. Just about like a gazillion other game models.

You have to go out at night and cut trees - draw mobs to you and kill them all to get more weapon skill. You can't always sleep at night or toast marshmellows. Now if you don't like stuff always aggroing when you cut trees and your tired of the mobs. Then you don't really like this game. Cause you can't just go from boss to boss without dying a lot. You have to prepare and that is a grind. SO don't like grinding means you don't like the game either. Cause that is what it is. Building also really shines and makes the grinding all worthwhile for me.

There will always be trolls cause people need attention. They get it one way or another,

With the majority of threads complaining about game mechanics, it usually turns out to be poor gameplay on the players' part, rather than the game mechanics.

Time and time again, I see posts where people complain about "no stamina" yet they neglected to eat proper foods, they neglect keeping rested bonus active, they rush into biomes unprepared and under-geared... They get killed and then come here to complain that the "game killed them", when it was clearly their own fault.

You don't have to like the game, and it's mechanics, but the majority of people who enjoy this game have found it isn't so hard if they just prepare, stay aware, and stay within the areas they are geared up to be in.

Death happens... It's part of the game, but it can very much be kept to a minimum, if you play less-recklessly.

Sadly I feel it's a product of today's society. Too many entitled, impatient, ADHD people.

In a big hurry to be "first" in everything, or beef up their twitch status, etc. Also expecting everything to be overly easy.. which they equate as fun. Which to me personally can tend to make games unchallenging and unfun.

No one wants to have to think, prepare, or strategize.... Just give them a big glowing OP'ed weapon and armor and let them mow through everything like a god. "I want to be awesome and famous on the interwebs!" types.

Not to mention expecting everything to be perfect right away and in their hands now now now.

This is why I stay away from online multiplayer games anymore too. So toxic and chalked full of hackers and cheaters or crazy sob's who will SWAT you. Unrealistic expectations too.

Let's not decide to cut our losses and simply stop playing a game that doesn't meet our expectations and play something else. They scream on the forums in hopes of selfishly getting things changed to what they want. Despite there are more than likely other similar games out there that would suit them.

Not explaining anything and just saying "it's bad because it's bad" is just trolling. This is just a troll thread.

I totally agree with this post. People just assume you're a poor player when you talk about some changes that would be great for quality of life or better mechanics. I've had comments before asking me what content I have difficulty with. Just because I feel something is off doesn't mean I haven't gone to end game on multiple worlds.

most of the time when someone say "this mechanics is poor\bad" it actually means that he don't like it. (for example cuz the game became harder for him)
so "git gud" is appropriate responce in such cases.

Although I agree... how do you think THIS post is going to help? Just inviting trolls. I'm guessing this post won't be here long.

It's ok if you're not very good at game mechanics and feel the need to blame the game for not being good, but it's not good to call people trolls because you don't know how to handle your emotions.

So what would you define as poor game mechanics?
Are you interested in talking in a mature manner?
or are you just here to troll yourself?

Also the phrase git gud actually has a deeper meaning to it then just being troll and I'm not sure if this is allowed or not but this sums up the phrase perfectly.
