Troll Armor or Bronze Armor

Troll: 19 AC + 25% sneak
Bronze: 24 AC - 5% move speed (25 with deer cape)

Both before upgrades

Bronze is far easier to get than all the troll hides needed for upgrades.

This is as good as it is going to get until I get into the swamp tombs for iron. Mainly, I am thinking about The Elder and not the roaming dwarves for the gear. 5 armor doesn't sound like much but sneak is useless once you are seen.

Troll armor all the way dogg, it can be upgraded to be nearly as good as the bronze armor, it doesn't require boring mining and it even allows you to run faster. I used troll armor straight through biome 3.

It's situational. I use troll armor and stamina food when collecting materials, so I can run if things go haywire. But bronze/iron/whatever when feel like tanking is the way to go

Oh man , troll hide is really easy to grind compare with bronze set , and now that troll set can reach lvl 4 bronce set its pretty useless , you must pass from troll set to iron set if you like tanky and meele fights

Oh! I didn't know about level 4. That settles it. I kite and shoot trolls (they burn well). It's the dwarves that join in that makes trolls interesting. Plus, trolls are great at being a personal lumberjack.

I have to say I skipped bronze armour altogether in favor of troll armour. I couldn't be bothered with the mining.

Do you still need obsidian to upgrade the workbench for troll armour upgrades?

Skipped bronze armour too and went for iron just before Bonemass.

Isn't obsidian a mountains biome material? It could be the case but I always considered troll to be Black Forest since it's the only place I have ever seen them. Good question. The wiki doesn't mention anything about workbench requirements.

Everyone plays in their own way.Personally, I" to the swamps " almost always manage to fill enough trolls to a completely improved set of clothes made of troll skin(they only need to kill six pieces:) ). For this reason, I have never used bronze armor for many of my Walheim passes, I ALWAYS immediately switched to iron armor after "troll clothes".....But again, everyone plays the way he wants to play, and therefore maybe someone makes bronze armor.

The irony is you make enough noise mining copper for several hours you might get enough troll hide to make a set before you have enough for a copper one.

I always go for troll hide, it just has too many bonuses on top of being the path of least resistance.
