just asking, because this would make 300 levels if you die 5 times.

You lose 5% of your skills when you die.

so if you're maxed out you lose 75 levels?

150 if you die twice.

yeah sure

that's a pretty harsh punishment in a game full of deadly spikes.

What's a level?

Max lvl skills are 100 , you have 10mins buff after death thats makes you not loose skills again if you die in that time again
And yeah , at top lvl you loose 5 lvls when death

Yeah , having everything legal at lvl 100 its pretty no life man haha

this is of course a theoretical value, for you won't ever get max level with this punishment, especially those skills you never train like swimming. if you really train swimming you can lose 3 hrs of play time by a single strike lol.

if they could make it that you just lose 5% of your most top skills or something. but training sneak already is deliberate self humiliation with this system.

Man if you know how to play the game and be allways prepared , you pretty cant die .... Even in late game part where you have high armor and food tiers + bonemass buff

yeah always prepared ...

it takes half an hour to get yourself a 10 min food buff, are you prepared in that time? or do you have to rely on luck?

Yeap , here you cant be free because of food system ( most farm or gather food ) , if you stay without feed even in your base you can die from dumb falling damage ( capped at 100 ) , that its the most casual way to die in valheim
The rest can be solved with full upgraded armor , and full lvled running skill that its the first and easiest skill to lvl

yeah full leveled running skill ... how much food do you burn running to max level? and how long does it take to make it? and how fast is it wasted?
