Ghost mode cheat buff?
a simple suggestion to buff the "ghost" cheat for those who use it would be to enable it for entities that are attached to you, like carts. It's been pretty annoying trying to build up a path to mining sites for my cart to use and constantly being harassed by mobs attacking my cart.

does that strategy work? find troll, dig pit under rock, win?Instead of cheating, and then suggesting the devs expand the cheat to include carts/boats or whatever, maybe try turning off the cheats and try a different way of solving the problem...
Instead of trying to make roads and hauling carts back and forth, to a workshop far away, bring the workshop to the mining site, which takes a mere fraction of the time and effort being spent on building pathways and cheating to try to keep things from attacking you.
find an area with several copper nodes within running distance, and turn the first node into a SAFE outpost / ore processing workshop.
find the edge of the copper node and dig straight down as deep as it lets you, then tunnel into the node, leaving the top intact as much as possible.

no mobs will jump into that hole for the same reason people put trenches around their bases... No matter how much noise you make, you wont be bothered by pesky mobs... If they can't SEE you, they can't attack you.
After mining out the interior of the copper node, you can place a portal, fire, smelter, coal kiln, chests... whatever you want... under there and you remain safe to process the ores, and even craft a forge and make whatever gear you need to make...

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2908646625
seriously, completely vanilla gameplay with no cheats activated, and makes the mining process so much faster and easier...
And what about when you start needing to get Iron??? well.... AGAIN bring the workshop to the mining site... Make a (mostly) safe Iron processing area high up in the indestructible trees... It is very possible (without cheats or mods) to put the coal kiln, smelter, fire etc. up inside the treehouse, out of harms way.

So there is 2 examples of how to play the game legit, without cheats or mods, and saving a whole lot of time and travel, and getting the same jobs done.
The cheats don't need to be "fixed" or expanded on... The player needs to use better strategies.
The first time I used the dig down and then under tactic, a troll slow-motion slid into the hole and got stuck.

all interesting ideas, all of which someone who ONLY JUST STARTED PLAYING wouldn't think of or even know was possible.
I think what Major Poison is trying to say is "Thank you Gladi8er65 for all these useful tips for a new player who is struggling to get by without cheats."

Imagine if the devs just added a build/creative mode.

You can also put your build next to the merchant who reliably has copper next to him and many times a swamp close by, or tunnel under the elder as I always find copper there too.

the Satisfactory devs are adding other game modes, like removing mob aggression and a full blown creative mode, so i don't see why the devs WOULDN'T do the same for this game eventually. Ghost and Debugmode seem like early versions of these alternate modes for this game. if that's the case, then there's a very GOOD reason to make adjustments to the codes. Use fly. It lets you move even when over-encumbered. No cart needed then.
If you are going to cheat, may as well be efficient about it.
Could also just use spawn item to get the metal even quicker.
or i can at least try to play somewhat legitimate. there's a difference between playing Peaceful Survival mode and Creative mode. if i want to cheat, i'll use a new character save. This current one is my first one, and the one i'm using with my friend. i already exploited a Duping glitch with his server, dropping off my smelting cores onto his server, then force shutting off my pc to close the game without the cloud saving so that i'd still have them in my inventory while they were ALSO in a chest on his server. not wanting to ruin his fun, i stopped at 15 so that we could still go find a dungeon and loot it on his save.
Using ghost isn’t even close to legitimate gameplay, and you are literally suggesting they make it even less legitimate

Play how you want, but if you cheat, well then, coming on the forum here just will get you made fun of. Maybe try the official Valheim forum for a better response, or one you like better.
Just an fyi, the carts are a joke for everyone. I think devs did it on purpose. Another aspect of making decisions and seeing the effect. Gotta remember these carts probably reflect the quality of "the wheel" in more distant times.
If you have a suggestion for the devs then maybe put that in the correct section. Or send a bug report if you think maybe they don't know what a dis-service you feel you are dealing with. I am sure they will run quickly and fix it for you. /s
Travel safe.

it's not about ease, it's about convenience. for those who WANT to use cheats, it's likely they're playing for either the creative construction aspects, or are sick of being harassed by enemies while trying to mine copper at the closest point they can, which is across MANY DEEP CHASMS. If you use ghost cheat, you want to avoid being assaulted by enemies. that should apply to using carts too. LOL, let's make cheating easier? Pfft
